On this episode of the Nine Finger Chronicles, Dan talks with Branden Michel about a once in a lifetime opportunity on a giant whitetail buck. Branden explains that this buck actually showed up the previous as clean typical buck but disappeared at some point in October after one close encounter. Then, after the season was over he got another picture of him confirming that this deer made it thought the hunting season. During the off season Branden and his father did a lot of brainstorming about what they could do different the upcoming season to get within shooting range of this mega-buck. As the 2022 season got close they got confirmation that the buck was still alive and cruising the same route as the previous year. All it took was an early October stand location change, and the first time Branden sat in this stand the buck showed up... and the rest is history. Enjoy this story!
