I'm Scott here with Michael and Drew as always, and today we are talking all about the infamous cults that brought Tamriel to its knees, the mythic dawn.

Mm-hmm.

And I suppose the name implies they kind of want to bring things back to the mythic era.

Where's the best place to start with?

Undo the world. Even that is so controversial, just getting to the bottom of their true motives. The dawn era. Well, I... Where do you start? I guess you start with Mankar Cameron, right? Or do you start with Mairns Dagon and what he's all about? Well, I feel like Mairns Dagon, if you started with Dagon, you can start like going into all these other things that are less focused.

So I think really we should start.

So with Mankar Cameron, that sort of interesting character, and he is basically the formation

of the Mythic Dorn.

So he writes the Mythic Dorn commentaries. So he read or got access to

the Mysterium Xerxes and he interprets all of this kind of stuff and makes a commentary on it.

And when people start reading those commentaries and sort of getting their hands on them,

he sort of over a long time,

it seems, builds up a cult. Because once again, he's like an elf and he's been around for a while.

I think that's actually an important distinction you can make early on is that Merins Degon's

has no shortage of devout followers. And over the history of Tamriel, there are plenty of cultists who

see revolution and ambition and the idea of overthrowing what the current hierarchy in wherever

they happen to be as a very glamorous idea. But it very much simplifies what Merun's Degon's

truly about. And I think Mank cameron is the first one to properly

grasp that by reading the mysterium xerxes yeah yeah i'd agree it's like and it's also um
