Will the church go through the tribulation?

That's the question we're going to tackle on the next Prophecy Proz podcast, Jeff Kelly, along with Todd Hanson, and today we are continuing in a series in this season called Mythbusting.

Some of the fake news, if you will, spiritually speaking, of what's out there concerning the church,

the tribulation, the rapture. In fact, we talked about the rapture, Todd, in the last episode,

about how people say the rapture is not in the Bible. We completely airtighted an argument there.

The rapture is definitely in the Bible. And we talked about how there's different

opinions on the timing of it, but it's there and undeniably. So the next question, and we get this

hit a lot, where people will say, Todd, that Christians are destined to go through the tribulation.

So put that in context for us. If we're the bride of Christ, what would that be like?

Yeah, I mean, that'd almost be like, you know, he got this bride who's been anticipating her

wedding day. She's been looking forward to it and preparing for it, just dreaming about it.

You know, she's got her, she finally has her wedding dress on. She's ready to meet her groom,

finally, after a long time of being apart. And just as she's about to, she finally has her wedding dress on. She's ready to meet her groom finally after a

long time of being apart. And just as she's about to go meet him, he makes her go through a dark alley

and have to get beat up by a bunch of thugs. And he's on the other side of the alley saying,

come into my open arms bride, here I am. You know, really just does not make sense biblically whatsoever. No, it really

doesn't. And when you think about the lead up to the whole imagery, and some people say, well,

the church has never called the bride of Christ, well, that's untrue. And Ephesians 5 and 2nd Corinthians

11 were Paul says, I betrothed you to one husband, Christ,

were obviously the bride of Christ, John 14, 1 through 3, that whole wedding motif.

I mean, obviously there. So we are the bride of Christ. But, yeah, what kind of groom would

want to put herself, put his bride to be through that kind of torment, literal torment from God.
