listeners, welcome back. I'm so excited to share this podcast with you on April 3rd, 2019

with my friend Moria Stark where we are to talk about a few of my favorite things,

things. Myth, music and healing. That's what we talk about. A little bit game

thrones as well. So that might excite some of you. And so every dawn

something like a hawk made of sparks come swooping through the forest

at dawn with its ear tuned in scanning the world for the warmth of grail speech. That is exalted words, heart language, green

language, the language of birds. But the Firebird has been losing its vitality I feel over the years.

Lots of sparks have been packed into suitcases, many buried six feet under, essentially repressed.

There's an absence of heart songs, it seems, in the world, perhaps left behind by this frantic pace that we're moving through our lives at.

Our relationship to technology definitely has something to do with it.

Seeing ourselves primarily through the black mirror. It all

comes down to communication and so much that is lost through texting, so much that gets confused and stategy through hate speech and trolling

tactics, the left and the right, the red and the blue, the better and the worst, the good

and the bad. And so when I run into others in the forest,

feeding the Firebird with their stories,

their mythic weavings. I get just as excited as this radiant bird does.

And my friends, this is exactly how I feel about Maria Stark. She is a bird feeder, a fire bird feeder with her song,

with her stories, with all that she does and I think you'll have a pretty good idea about what I mean by the end of this conversation.
