podcast, and we try to answer questions. As best we can, we try to catch up from time

to time with all the questions we receive from emails and other sources. So this is our mystery

mailbag, and we're going to go ahead and dive right in today in episode number 14.

Our first question comes from Pam Conklin.

She says, hi, I've been listening for a while, and I was wondering if you could touch on some

passages in the Bible regarding demonic possession in animals.

I know he cast demons into pigs, but I am curious if, as part of spiritual warfare,

demonic spirits can enter my animals to make a sin, or can they enter to oppress them?

I have a troublesome German shepherd that I swear sometimes has a demonic influence,

but could just be a dog with a rebellious heart. Just wanted to know your thoughts.

Thank you, Pam. I appreciate you writing that. The Bible is not specific about demons entering into

animals specifically, other than the one you mentioned, where Jesus cast the devils into the herd of swine. So we know that they can.

Jesus was normally casting devils out of people. People didn't bring him dogs or other pets to say,

hey, these are filled with an unclean spirit. It does appear to me that they can have these entities,

because we often see like black

cats being associated with witchcraft and things like that. That probably has some truth or

history to it, although it doesn't take much to convince me that a cat might have an evil spirit

in general because cats tend to demonstrate that kind of behavior. But I'm joking,

of course. I have a cat, and she's, well, she's a cat. So I don't know of specific

instances in the Bible other than the one you already brought up to say that Jesus cast the

...
