Three weeks ago tonight that I was sitting in my study doing some research work on poison,

from my good friend Inspector Noah Denton. Coincidentally, the time was exactly 832 and a quarter

from the telephone rang. Yes, straight speaking.

There was no mistaking the sound which came to me over the telephone. Miss Breath had lost consciousness

and dropped the bone. I heardly called Inspector Noah Denton, explained what had happened,

and asked him to meet me at the Shamanard Blaves. 45 minutes later I drove into Shamanard's driveway

and found the ground swarming with gas. Most of whom were young and beautiful women.
