What would happen if a massive, immobile, paranormal entity was discovered in the United States?

Perhaps the government or some other shadowy organization would come in and try and cover it up

somehow.

Perhaps the existence of it would lead to widespread panic about the nature of normalcy and

our reality.

Or perhaps, some intrepid entrepreneurs would turn the entity into an attraction.

This is the case of the mystery flesh pit national park, a fictional theme park based

around the titular flesh pit, also known as the Permian Basin Superorganism, located in western Texas.

The concept is the world-building brainchild of Trevor Roberts, and it has been expanded on

greatly in many ways by many people since its original conception.
