Today I'm chatting with Sharon Oaken, who is part of our series subscriber stories

where our community has written in about a certain experience they'd like to share.

And then I get to talk to several of you on the podcast.

So today, Sharon is telling us about her experience with many years of mysterious symptoms, trial and errors,

trying to regain her health.

She said that she started to exhibit symptoms of dementia, going to different doctors who

didn't know what was going on with her, finally leading to a discovery that she had had

Lyme disease, which led to having chronic Lyme, and likely

had this since she was a kid.

And then on top of it, finding out later down the road that the reason that she was impacted

so strongly, neurologically by Lyme, was because of a pre-existing condition that she had,

that she also didn't discover, you know,

until she was an adult, Ellers Downlow syndrome. And then, you know, all the various symptoms

and illness that are attached to that. So she was in the dark about what was going on with her

for a long time. So perhaps you or someone you love is experiencing some health issues and

you haven't found an answer yet.

It's scary. It's frustrating.
