And we're back with the second part of our story about Cherice Walker Bingham,

the Indianapolis woman who was shot and killed while walking her dogs in White River State Park on December 12, 2012.

When we left off, Cherice's husband, Eugene Bingham Jr. had become the main focus of Indiana State Police,

as they tried to figure out how and why this happened.

By the end of January 2013, the investigation is in full swing.

Eugene has been interviewed by police multiple times, and has even taken two polygraph tests,

both of which were inconclusive but close to failure.

And at this point, police know about Eugene's long time affair with a woman we're calling Jane,

and they're also well aware that Eugene stood to gain $450,000 from Cherice's two life insurance policies.

But they're about to find out a whole lot more.

When the full results of Cherice's autopsy come back, investigators learn that the single gun shot

that struck the right side of her chest and killed her was of indeterminate range,

meaning they can't tell just how far the gun really was from her body when it was fired.

But according to an affidavit written by Indiana State Police Detective Lester Norbell,

the autopsy results are inconsistent with the idea that the gun went off accidentally

while in Cherice's front cover all pocket. And they're also inconsistent with the gun falling
