In this episode, we're talking about a treasure map in the Dead Sea Scrolls known as the Mysterious

Copper Scroll. I'm Don Bettenelli and joining me today is Jimmy Akin. Hi Jimmy. Howdy, Don.

Folks, you may remember that we did an episode a while back of Jimmy Akin's Mysterious World

on the Dead Sea Scrolls and we covered the mystery of the scrolls as a body as a whole and we have a

little bit, we give a lot of the history there. We'll review a little bit here. But by the way,

that was episode nine for people who want to go back and listen to that. Right. And we'll put

them link in the show notes that you can find it right there too. And so around,

he kind of reviewed a little bit around 1945. The Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered in the Southern

Judean Desert near the Dead Sea. Hence the name. So most were written on parchment or papyrus,

which was normal for the time. But one was different. It was special because it was written on a

roll of thin copper sheets. And the scroll was even more special because it contained directions

for finding secret caches of treasure. Huge amounts of treasure. Cue the Indian of Jones,

who's a Kier folks. People don't know what to make of the copper scroll. So that's what we'll be

talking about today on Jimmy Akin's Mysterious World. And before we get into it, Jimmy,
