I drop it on me.

So I have a number of friends, human friends, who have been exploring the chat GPT experience.

And I haven't delved into it individually myself, but I am happy to be the receptacle

and recipient for other people's experiences, one of which, here's a two-parter.

The opener is a friend of mine, asked chat GPT to tell him a joke in the style of Mitch

Hedberg.

And it then gave him a joke by Demetri Martin, which I think is funny and also indicative

of the dread that a lot of people have with this sort of technological meandering.

Now the next level is a friend of mine told me that they asked it to give them a joke

in the style of Mike Kaplan, and that's me.

And the chat GPT said, sure, I'll give you a joke in the style of Mike Kaplan, and it

gave him this joke, this idea, it said, I just invented a new word, plagiarism.

The number one, neat joke.

Number two, I've written jokes like, I look through my records at one point and found

over the years, every once in a while, I'll tweet something or come up with something like,

you know, I wrote the book on plagiarism, you know, or then that's a quote that I attribute

to whoever wrote that book, which could also be me.

Like jokes about plagiarism are fun and, you know, the kind of, one aspect of the kind

of comedy that I do, I do enjoy a self-referential meta kind of situation.

And here's the additional thing that makes this even more mind-bendy is that particular

phrasing, I just invented a new word, plagiarism, is something that a fan of mine tweeted

to me not long ago that their child came up with is what he told me.
