Before we get started on today's topic, which is my carnal infarction, I want to kind of update

everybody on a project we've been working over the past couple of years, and that is a pharmacology textbook

dedicated mostly to pre-hospital care, though it's not exclusive to the pre-hospital providers.

When we think about pre-hospital providers, typically in the United States think of paramedics,

but throughout most of the world, the pre-hospital providers are typically in the form of physicians and nurses.

And this textbook is really designed for those who provide pre-hospital care.

We've tried to make the textbook different than other pharmacology textbooks

and that it is kind of a case or problem-based approach to pharmacology.

And we've also developed another podcast to go around it to describe topics of pre-hospital
