Welcome to the Monday edition of the show.

We're talking Mississippi State in Ole Miss as the Bulldogs get the sweep in Oxford.

And really, the main kind of competitive game is Friday night, and where Mississippi State wins a close one.

The other two games, you know, the score would tell you that it wasn't close at all.

And, I mean, I guess that part is true.

But the story in that one, honestly, is the amount of runners that were left on base by Ole Miss,

that Mississippi State simply found a way to, you know, to get the guys out and escape,

you know, a tough situation there on the road.

And so a lot of stuff to kind of unpack here for Mississippi State.

I mean, coming out of this, I can remember, I mean, I would say kind of going into the weekend,

you know, state takes maybe two out of three was a pretty good feeling.

I mean, I asked some of the other media guys there on Friday at Mississippi State's Pro Day,

which we also mentioned in today's show,

what they kind of thought, and several of them said 2-1 Mississippi State,

with Friday night specifically being the game that State would lose.

And not having McPherson, the Mississippi State's ace,

would certainly impact that.

And, of course, Ole Miss's Hunter Elliott is a fantastic pitcher and has got a lot of experience.

And so that just kind of seemed to make sense.

And so for Mississippi State to get the sweep is a, I mean, a surprise, but also a huge momentum builder for state as the season

goes along.
