0:11.8	an email from a guy who's been with his girlfriend, let's see, about two years. He's younger than her.
0:17.7	He's 26. She's 30. She works a very stressful job as a paramedic and unfortunately
0:23.9	she brings that stress home with her and takes it out on him when she's not working and she has
0:31.9	stress leave he says sometimes months at a time she's a lot sweeter she's now going to seek a therapist, but he's just, I mean, he's at the end of his rope,
0:43.0	obviously, because who wants to come home and put it with drama every day just in that kind
0:47.7	of abuse?
0:49.3	So this is a good email about setting, the importance of setting, but most importantly, enforcing healthy
0:56.1	boundaries. Because if you set boundaries and then you don't enforce them, you're going to have
1:01.1	problems. So I got a quote that I wrote in this topic and we'll go through his email. And the quote
1:05.5	says, whatever you tolerate, you will invite and attract more of it into your life.
1:15.9	If you want to have a drama-free life, you must set and enforce healthy boundaries with people who are verbally, emotionally, and mentally abusive.
1:19.3	If you set boundaries but don't enforce them, you will invite disrespect and enable this continued
1:26.2	undesirable behavior. The reality is that many people,
1:30.4	even some people who are close to you, simply won't respect or honor any boundaries you set
1:36.0	for them. Therefore, if you want a drama-free life, you will have to severely limit the time
1:41.9	you spend with toxic people or simply eliminate them
1:45.7	from your life permanently.

1:52.5	Don't enable bad behavior by putting up with it.
