Hi Latino USA listeners, I'm Fernanda Chavari, senior producer at Futuro Studios, but you

may remember me from the years I spent making Latino USA every week.

I don't think that words can express just how much Latino USA changed my life.

I moved to New York in 2015 to be a producer and I formed some of my dearest friendships

making hundreds of shows for you all.

I went on reporting trips around the country and outside of the US at a time when stories

of our communities felt especially urgent.

Mariano Jose gave us the platform to make big changes to the way the show sounded.

She supported our ideas no matter how crazy they may have seemed at times.

I feel incredibly lucky to have been a part of the Latino USA family as a producer and

later an editor and to have contributed to the legacy of such an amazing show.
