I hear from women all of the time who are trying to adopt a ketogenic diet but are stuck with so many rules and "supposed to's" around the diet change that they just can't seem to make it work for them. So, today I'm breaking down the top 10 misconceptions I hear about the keto diet and debunking them for you! Before we get into this top 10 list, I take a few minutes at the beginning to clarify and simplify the answer to "Should I eat more fat or more protein?" and "Am I eating too much fat?" in response to episode #13. TOPICS: How to determine the right macro ratios for YOUR keto diet Debunking my top 10 keto myths: When following a keto diet, you also must fast. When following a keto diet, you must keep your carbs at 20g. When following a keto diet, you shouldn't eat snacks. When following a keto diet, you must drink a bulletproof coffee/tea. When following a keto diet, you will immediately lose a bunch of weight. When following a keto diet, there is no room for vegetables because they have too many carbs. When following a keto diet, NEVER eat fruit. When following a keto diet, eat lots of dairy. When following a keto diet, magic happens after just a few weeks.
