Hey, I'm Terry Sevel Foy, your cheerleader of dreams. Today I want to talk to you about something

that absolutely transformed my life, and I don't say that lightly. Reading. Now before you tune out

and think, Terry, I don't like reading. I need you to know I didn't either. I had not read a book for pleasure

in over 10 years. In fact, the only books I owned were gymnastic books and the Dallas Cowboy

Cheerleader Manual. That was it. I did not grow up loving to read. I didn't dream of sitting in a

cozy chair flipping pages. I honestly thought readers were just

smart people or nerds. Okay, but everything changed when I realized something that if you want a

different life, you need different input. And I'm not just talking about success. I'm talking

about faith because the Bible says that faith comes by hearing and hearing

by the Word of God. That's Romans 1017. So it's not by wishing, not by scrolling, not by worrying,

by hearing. And I realized my faith wasn't growing because my input wasn't feeding it. So my turning point, when I finally committed to personal growth,

I didn't say I'm going to read an hour a day.

No, because that was overwhelming.

I just said I'm going to read for 20 minutes.

That's it.

I set a timer, no joke, no pressure, no perfection, just 20 minutes.

And that one small habit helped me completely get out of debt, healed and restored my marriage, built my confidence, stretched my faith,

taught me how to invest money, how to market my organization, how to believe God for the favor of God, and eventually help me write

books and build this whole ministry. Reading. Isn't this wild? It wasn't dramatic. It was consistent.
