Day 23

We spent the morning letting the girls play in the toy room as Grace and I carefully

and quietly loaded the van up with our pre-packaged supplies.

Working in silences we both felt the tension from the impending trial that we were soon

to be experiencing.

The dogs watched inquisitively as we moved bags and boxes from the house to the van.

I could tell that they began to get excited at the sight, thinking that they'd soon be

going on for a car ride.

And every time we came back to the house, Bodie began to wag his tail and alternate his

glances for me to the leashes hanging on the door.

I was soon Bodie, and his relaxed poopy face.

I said to him, as I patted him on the head, coming in from the last time.

He trotted off and found a spot to lie down near the girls playing.

May on the other hand continue to follow me around the house for the next 20 minutes, insisting

that it was time to go for a ride.

We ate lunch, and as we finished Grace and I met eyes and silently agreed that it was

time.

She gave me a hug and a kiss.

We told each other that we loved the other.

I grabbed the bow, inspecting it to make sure it hadn't broken in any way.

Put all the arrows I could find into the bow mounted quiver and walked to the front door.
