Thanksgiving is not just a holiday.

It is a way of life.

As we study the scriptures with Scott Pauley today,

we pray that God will help us learn how to develop grateful hearts and hopes.

It was very early in the morning when God woke me with one phrase on my mind.

As a matter of fact, this phrase that is repeated often in scripture

that was so deeply in my spirit that I had to get up and look it up

and read it for myself.

It's found in Psalm 136.

Now there are 26 verses in Psalm 136,

and in every one of them you you find this familiar refrain, for his mercy,

endureth forever. May I give you my thanksgiving list in one sentence? One sentence, here it is,

26 verses, but one powerful statement, one sentence, the inspired psalmist says,

O give thanks unto the Lord for his good, for his mercy endureth forever.
