So today we're covering an important and scary topic. We'll be speaking to a woman who was abused and molested by one of her high school teachers

and we'll be talking to her about how she handled that situation, how she may have handled it a little bit differently in retrospect

and how she basically move forward from those dark times. And I think just as a preface to say this up front instead of at the end,

you know, we do think that these episodes are important. Sometimes they're hard to listen to, but also many of us I think are programmed for, you know, what could be called stranger danger or this fear of random people harming us.

It's actually so often those that are closest to us, whether it be family, teachers, parents that end up inflicting either psychological or physical damage.

And we feel it's just an important reminder. So we appreciate the guests who have gone through such trauma and who are willing to share those stories insights and sort of red flags with us.

I really like that you mentioned the stranger danger thing because I think that's what kept us from talking about it at the time.

Yeah, no, totally. And, you know, we're definitely eager to get into all that because I think it's it's going to be super helpful, you know, for a lot of people listening.

So to kick this off, can you just tell us a little bit about, you know, this, this teacher and I guess your initial relationship with him prior to anything inappropriate happening.

Yeah, so this was my freshman year of high school. So I really hadn't known of the teacher.

Besides the fact that he was the football coach.

And what the first day of his class, he had yelled at my friend and I for talking, I guess, like we were just kind of like talking.

And so like initially we just thought like he was stressed. It was a class full of freshmen.
