Over the years, I've been on my knees more times than I can count, and my strong tower has proven

fateful time and time again.

He sustains me in every situation.

There is absolutely no way that I could parent all of these children on my own without

constantly turning to the one who created them and who

knows them so intimately.

Today we are bringing you a story from Janie Giffin from the Homewood community, which is here in Birmingham. And you'll hear too that she is a local eighth grade teacher in a middle school here. And so some of you may know her because she taught your kids. Well, I'll tell you, Janie's story is one that's definitely going to leave you in awe of saying yes to God. I mean, my goodness, her story is just so encouraging of just saying yes, even when you don't know what the outcome's going to be. She's also got so many nuggets of little pieces of

wisdom and parenting. So you might want to have a notebook out to take a few notes. We're going to be discussing those at the end of her story. But here's Jamie. Well, when asked to share my story, I quickly said yes to Whitney without really knowing which story I would end up sharing.

Because at almost 50 years of age, my life has really been made up of a conglomeration of many stories that have shaped who I am today.

I'm far from perfect.

Really just a simple-minded eighth grade school teacher,
