My question is this, as a born-again believer,

when I am going through troubles and obstacles,

do I look at that as punishment from God

or as a discipline,

as a father of discipline this child raising him up.

I do understand that we are under grace, but that Jesus is the fulfillment of the law,

so the law has not been abolished.

So I am looking for encouragement as well as direction in Scripture so that I understand truth

because I don't want to be led by my feelings and preferences, but rather by the Word of God.
