I'm a single dad. My son is nine years old. What happened to mommy? There was some infidelity and we separated when he was much younger and then unfortunately there was some like when we were sharing custody in the

beginning and there were just some issues with violence and him being left alone in the house when he's three and stuff like that.

So he's been with me.

So when you were dating her was the violence kind of sexy or something?

No, certainly not. We both made mistakes in terms of like our courtship and whatnot. And what mistakes do you think you...

What mistakes do you think you made in the courtship?

Well, I certainly didn't. Well, we made a lot of mistakes if we weren't. Not we. I'm just asking you if

she were here I'd get her list, but just give me yours.

I kind of committed to her emotionally too soon. I wouldn't call a fall in love but you know when

people get enamored with someone too quickly and we lost trust really quickly as well.

Like I said, there were some issues to do with trust.

And I made mistakes as well. I didn't let her know about a condition I have to do with depression and whatnot.

So that didn't help either. I wasn't honest.

Fair enough.

So how is your boy doing? So my boy is actually doing pretty well and I've

been taking positive parent classes since I since I kind of took over full time and I talked with therapists just to have

somebody objective to kind of talk through parenting with but just hearing your advertise just

hearing you talk about your podcast tonight just made me realize I'd really love to

hear Dr Laura's opinion because in the last six months he has a lot of resentment towards his mother like like
