Back story.

My mom's father died in a car accident when she was 16.

So my sister and I never met him. My mom was an only child

and a total daddy's girl, so she always made sure to tell her stories about him and keep him

alive in our hearts. She only really had one good photo of him though, showing a serious, handsome

man of about 40, and that photo has had a special place in our living room all of our lives.
