Summary

Growing up, Rachel Cargle was used to seeing things her family couldn’t afford. As she got older, became a writer, lecturer, and philanthropist, she continued to seek opportunities just beyond her grasp. Hard work and creativity allowed her to grow successful as an entrepreneur, but deeper challenges still remained. In this episode of Meditative Story, Rachel unfolds how she found fulfillment by turning her gifts outward.

Hey, it's Rohan. When I'm feeling my best, my loved one's notice, I'm able to be more patient,

more present, to participate energetically in everything around me, and the reverse is also true.

When I'm burned out, or my own well-being is suffering, the people around me can feel that shift too.

Yoga is one of my go-to's when I feel these patterns arise, by focusing on breathing and working

to practices that support holistic well-being, and their programs are remarkable. For example,

And when I share more about this later in the episode, I think you'd understand just how far

1:20.8

reaching the applications of mindfulness can go. The potential of Lulu Lemon's programs and

1:25.7

partnerships here is so exciting. I walk across a plush carpet in an elegant row house in Washington,

DC. I pause in front of the ceiling to floor bookshelf. It's full of leather-bound literary

classics and books on art and architecture. The kids I'm nannying have been asleep for hours.

I already finished tidying up their toys. Tonight, this space is all mine.
