Hello and welcome back to Sociology 101, where all our theology geeks gather to talk more about theology and specific about sochiology, the doctrine of our salvation.

I can't think of a more important topic in the world than the topic that has to do with our

eternal security, our eternal salvation. All of us, according to scripture, will die and

face judgment. I'm not trying to be morbid. I'm not trying to bring any kind of a downer on your day.

That's just a fact of the matter. All of us will face judgment. And because of that, we need to

understand our standing before our creator, our God. And so of all things that we could discuss,

I can't think of any more important thing discussed than theology. And of all theological topics to discuss, I can't think of one more important than that of our

sociology, our salvation. It's one of the reasons I wrote my dissertation on the doctrines of

sociology. This is one of the reasons I contend with my Calvinistic friends, and I have debates

like I did with Joel Webbbin this last Monday night.

And I don't solely, as many of you know, focus on this doctrine.

It happens to be one of my major points of contention because it is what I wrote my dissertation on.

It is, as Dr. Hunter, there at the Trinity Seminary, the president there of Trinity where I work,

calls me a sociologist because that's my major area of focus when it comes to what you guys know

through sociology 101. I actually enjoy talking about quite a few other things. I have courses on

many other topics there at Trinity and work for the convention training and evangelism. And

matter of fact, most of the people I work with in Texas don't even know I have a podcast,

believe it or not. Some of them aren't even aware of it. But I enjoy doing this. This is something

I do on my pastime. When I get a free hour or two here or able to jump on, this is one of the

reasons I don't have scheduled weekly programs at particular times

because I don't know when my free time is going to be.

And so whenever some free time comes open, I jump on here and do this.
