In the middle of the Book of Exodus, chapter 20, are the Ten Commandments.

One of the most significant and famous moments in all of human history

where God speaks to his people, and those words have now echoed for three and a half thousand years.

I want to set up the Book of Exodus and the Ten Commandments, and it begins in the book of Genesis.

In some regards, the book of Exodus, it is the sequel, and Genesis is the prequel.

At the end of the book of Genesis, God's people move from where they are living to a foreign and pagan nation called Egypt.

It's during the time of a famine and economic downturn.
