Will you permit me one more day, just one more day to talk to you about what the Bible says about

salvation. Honestly, I'm just having a good time in the Word of God, having a good time talking to you

about what it means to be saved. Because I know what Jesus Christ has done for me. And I'm starting

to see more and more of what God says about this in Scripture.

And it's thrilling. It's thrilling to talk about.

What does the Bible say about salvation?

The last time we talked, I read to you from Ephesians chapter 2, verse 8 and 9, famous verses,

for by grace you are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God,

not of works, lest any man should boast.

And we learned that it's all of grace, and it's a gift.

It's received by simple faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

But let's return to Ephesians 2 to the verses that precede those

verses. The Bible says in Ephesians 2 verse 4, but God, who is rich in mercy for his great love

wherewith he loved us. Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ,

by grace you're saved, and hath raised us up together and made us sit together
