My mother lied to me about my ex fiancé cheating on me.

I was with my ex for five years before I broke up with him because he allegedly cheated on me.

Four months ago, my mother told me in front of other family members that she saw my fiancé kissing

and getting out of the pub and then driving away with a girl while I was gone for a work trip

to a different city. She told me this about a week after once I came back.

I confronted him about this and he denied it. Long story short, it was a mess and I broke up with him

and moved out. Since she told me this in front of our family, I felt the pressure to end it as

soon as possible. A couple days ago, I got into a fight with my mother because she was trying to

control my dating life. At the end of it, she told me move out by the end of the week and she

said that she always controlled my dating life at her fingertips because she made me dump my ex

for nothing. No cheating, no nothing. Just to show me she can control me. We had a similar fight

last year and she told me she proved me wrong. I moved out of her place the same day and am living

with a friend right now. I am absolutely disgusted by her behavior and literally can't believe she

would do something like that to me. She called me and apologized for whatever happened and what she

did and wants me to come back and live with her. I don't know about that right now. She said she

was sorry and she says that she did it because of all the meds she has been taking which influenced

her decision making. After I found out I tried to contact my ex but he didn't pick up so I

messaged him explaining everything and apologized. He read the message but he hasn't replied back yet

but I hope he does. I also talked to his sister and she said she'll talk to him. I don't know what

to do with my mom. She obviously needs me because she does take medication for her mental health

but right now I literally hate her. I feel so bad for my ex fiance and hope he sees that this is

not all my fault. Any advice on how I could get to him? I don't know what else to do. This is insane.
