Good afternoon. It's my pleasure to be able to visit with you today. Thank you for taking my call.

air. All right, go ahead. Either tea would be wonderful, please. I just need your wisdom,

your insight and guidance with a change in family dynamics I've been experiencing for the last eight months.

What's changed? What were the dynamics and what are they now?

So I'm a 50-year-old woman married to my favorite husband ever. We have three sons and transitioning to an empty nest, which I'm loving.

And I have a sister.

My sister and I share a mother and father.

Our father passed away 20 years ago of cancer, and our mothers remained single since then.

So it's a small little family between my sister and I and my mother.

In February, the day after my father's sister's funeral, my mother emailed my sister and

I and told us we were such, she's tired of us and she's ashamed of us goodbye and have a good life what was that about what

are she ashamed of i think it i don't know i haven't been to jail i haven't stolen anything i'm not

addicted to anything i married a great man who's educated and

working, and we've been together for over 26 years. So I don't know what I did wrong.

I don't. As you describe, I don't know either. Does your sister have a clue? Well, we do. My mother was disowned

by her mother when my sister and I were in elementary school. We're wondering if there is

some sort of generational behavior. You're wondering if that's genetic?

No, generational because her mother did it to her, a learned behavior or a disconnect of
