Summary

I recently made a big mistake in terms of what online mentoring can or should look like. It’s important to understand what role our online resources CAN play and what role they can NOT play so we aren’t expecting things that we shouldn’t.  I’m also including some important counsel regarding the local church because our family found ourselves struggling for several years to find a church that was biblically sound. I know some of you are struggling with that as well. BE ENCOURAGED! Resources mentioned: The Unhurried Homeschooler Unhurried Grace for a Mom’s Heart The Four-Hour School Day Simply Unhurried Community  Applying Romans 13 to Here and Now  Links to messages that lay out the church’s biblical role (transcripts included): Who is the Church and What is She For? Local Church Leadership Pt 1 Local Church Leadership Pt 2 (P.S. Don't forget to check out my latest book and best seller on Amazon, The Four Hour School Day: How You and Your Kids Can Thrive in the Homeschool Life on Amazon, durendawilson.com, or your favorite bookseller!)

And that book is kind of like an expanded version of the unhurried homeschooler. So if you've read

the unhurried homeschooler and you're like, I really liked that. I'd love more of that.

0:48.8

The four-hour school day definitely would qualify as like an expanded version of the Unhurried Homestchooler.

0:55.4

So I encourage you to check out those three books. You can find them on Amazon. You can find

0:59.9

them on my website, Durinda Wilson.com. And you can find the four-hour school day at pretty much any

1:05.4

of your favorite booksellers in addition to the couple of places that I mentioned.

1:10.4

I also wanted to let you know that I have an online community where I am mentoring moms.

1:19.1

And we are talking about homeschooling.

1:21.6

We are talking about specifically unhurried homeschooling, simplifying.

1:26.8

But listen in for just a minute to hear a little bit more

1:29.9

about this online community. Have you ever heard the phrase more isn't better? Sometimes it's

1:40.5

just more. The simply unhurried community is here to unburden you to help you find

1:46.5

joy in slowing down and simplifying your homeschooling so you can enjoy this journey with your kids.
