A few weeks ago, we did a Ask Me Anything podcast and one of the questions that people asked was

which of the podcast that you put out were your favorites and I said before I don't know if I have favorites, but I do have some that were more

meaningful or more impactful or ones that I remember a little bit more than other ones. And this one that we're

going to talk about today was very meaningful to me.

I was a young guide in Key West.

I had an opportunity to be on a television show for the first time.

That television show was a show called one more cast.

It was with professional bass angler Shaw Grigsby.

Shaw and I got along really well.

He was just an incredibly nice guy,

treated me with respect, and taught me quite a bit more than

I thought that I was going to learn from a professional bass fisherman as a guide in Key

West.

I learned about knots, I learned about all kinds of stuff and I realized that you know to make it to the top of the professional bass world

You had to be pretty good and Shaw is better than pretty good not only does know that, but he also knows the television world

and he knows the sponsorship world.

Later in my career, when I thought that it was time for me to maybe have my own TV

show, the first place that I went was to my friend and mentor
