There are two main points of the decision.

So the judge, Mary Kay Viscosal, accepted the contention of Melania's lawyers that she is a citizen of Florida.

She basically had two choices, to remand the case to state court or rule on the case.

Functionally, she did neither.

She may have actually effectively ruled against the Trumps without saying so.

Because effectively kicking the case out of federal court by default puts it back into state court,

which is what we wanted in the first place. Make no mistake, we are going forward with this.
