An exciting weekend.

I got to meet with Donald Trump.

I got to meet with his new appointee to Secretary of the Treasury, Secretary of State.

A lot of the future administration were there, and I'll talk about that in a minute, but first, today's January 6th.

And a terrible thing happened on January 6th, four years ago.

It was terrible in two different ways.

Number one, the event itself, which was a one-off, it will not have a presidential effect at all.

It was terrible when it happened.

It was wrong.

It was right to protest. That's perfectly within the

First Amendment, right to petition the government for redress of grievances. I understand those who

believe that the election was stolen. I'm not one of them. You'll hear about that in a minute
