I, 22 female, have been working at the same retail job for over six years now.

I'll try not to get into it, but I had the same manager for the first four years, and I adored her. Unfortunately, she moved to a different

store and the new manager was definitely not the right fit. We clashed very often and if I'm being

totally honest, we were both fairly toxic. I think she created the toxic environment, but I definitely

did not help the situation. That was the poisoning added on top of it.

It was just the little poisoned cherry on top of the poison pie.

There were about six other people who quit or moved to a different store because of her

behavior, which I think is very telling, as there were only 10 employees when she started.
