Anyway, in an interview recently, my friend Mark asked me about my life as a hermit

or monk missionary more practically, and he asked how I became a priest, especially from being raised

a liberal Catholic. So this is my life as a priest, an interview with my friend Mark, and I put

his interview below, as I said, in the show notes on video to his channel,

but I'm also reproducing it here on audio only to my own podcast, Padre Peregrino.

All right, and this is the Catholic Esquire, and I am here and joined by Father David Nix.

You too. And just before we begin, I will just want to make sure people who are watching this understand that in full disclosure,

you and I have known each other for several years.

We go back a ways, including back to high school.

We attended the same high school together.

We know each other on a personal basis.

And I just like to make sure everybody understands that.

But I'm really not going to hold back on any questions I ask you today

because I'm really interested in getting this topic of how you went from a liberal Catholic

to being a traditional priest that only celebrates the Latin Mass.

And that's what I'm very interested in because I too went from liberal Catholicism to tradition and it took a long time many years.

But I'm really interested in getting this idea from you as a priest and how this happened and what this looks like and what in the world was going on there.
