Welcome back to the Dier show. Well, this is it. This is the long awaited indictment.

They have labored mightily and they have produced a mouse, 34 mice, 34 mice, but mice,

you know, we produce very quickly. This is a 34 count indictment, which as I said before,

reminds me of what the owner of the delicatessen used to tell me when I was working on Delancey Street

in the Lower East Side of New York when I was 14 or 15 years old. Slice the salami thin. You get

more slices that way. We can sell it for more. That's what he used to tell me and I sliced my salami

thin. And that's what the prosecutor did in this case. He took basically a transaction,

which isn't a crime, paying hush money to a former porn star. It was a crime, by the way, a crime

by the form of porn star. It's the crime of extortion when you say to somebody, unless you pay me

money, I will go public and tell your wife and your family and your business associates and

ruin your brand. That's called extortion. But it's not a crime to pay the hush money.

And you go through this thing in 34 counts and they're all the same pretty much.

They just break it down into the various checks that were paid, but it's essentially the same.

At the essence, at the center of the alleged crime here is that he had one reason and one motive

for paying the money. Just one motive had nothing to do with helping his wife. It had nothing to do

with saving the embarrassment for his children. Nothing to do with his business. Nothing to do with

his brand. And remember, Trump's wealth all grows out of his brand. I remember he used to sell

vodka. Somebody sent me a tie, a Trump tie. I used to fly on Trump Airlines because it flew from

Boston to New York when it was briefly bought, I think, from Eastern Airlines. So it's the brand.

And the argument is that there was only one reason. One, one, one reason. By Trump paid $130,000

and that was to win the election. So it was a campaign contribution and he had to know

under this theory. He had to know that it was a crime to pay $130,000 to a point star
