Dear Stephen Shirley, I am a 47-year-old female in my third year of marriage, in my third marriage.

My husband and I have been married for five years and he treats me like a queen, but I feel like he hates my 17-year-old daughter.

This is his first marriage and he has no children, so it's shocking that he acts like a drill

sergeant with my daughter. He calls her lazy and fusses at her constantly about her chores.
