All right. So my husband is addicted to his cell phone.

He is on a layoff currently and spends upwards of 10 hours a day on his phone.

The way our finances are set up is he pays the mortgage and I pay for utilities, groceries,

etc., including the cell phone. And tonight I am going to let him know that I am no longer

paying that bill if he's going to continue with his addiction.

And I'm just looking for advice on the best way to present that for the best result.

What kind of a marriage has a split up of monies like that paying bills?

I thought when we get married we become one.

Nope, not us. We've always done it this way and it's worked out well so far.

And why why have you done it this way? It's very odd.

Well, it's I'm 45.

He's 52. We're older. This is the first marriage for both of us.

We've been married about a year and we've just always had our own money and our own things.

And I do the budget. I know what we both have in our accounts and I feel like I'm on top of it
