But in the meantime, I'm going to play the role of both Nate and myself today. We're just days away, maybe hours away from the 2023 NFL season kickoff, depending on when you're listening to this.

And we're going to be talking or we're me. I'm going to be talking my guys today, which should be fun after all of the draft strategy and prep talk that we've done this off season. We're going to cherish this one last opportunity to be entirely positive about our favorite fantasy players.

Let's start the my guys off here and we'll start at the quarterback position as we typically do when we're going through these lists here. And I'll start with my guy first. It is just in fields of the Chicago bears.

I'm actually going as QB seven according to the fantasy pros consensus ADP. I have a ranked as QB six. So not a ranking that's, you know, overly different from ADP or anything like that. But the main thing for me is that fields is kind of the main reason that I don't draft any of the quarterbacks going ahead of them outside of like super flex leagues.

We know he possesses the elite rushing upside as he was the only quarterback in the league last season to average double digit rush attempts per game, which led to a league leading 1143 rushing yards, which was nearly 400 more than the next closest quarterback. So big gap there for fields.

The best part is that fields, he finished as the overall QB seven last season, but he wasn't actually utilized in the design run game until week seven of last year.

So he was averaging like fewer than three design rush attempts per game prior to that mark before jumping up to over seven per game from that point on. So

once that happened, he managed he actually managed three of the 13 greatest rushing performances from a quarterback of all time, including the number one rank overall, which came in week nine last year, he rushed for 178 rushing yards. So

when you look at his kind of stretch from week seven to week 17, he was the overall QB three for fantasy in that stretch, despite ranking 23rd in total passing yards, the only through for 1373 passing yards in that span, which is a very low number. So we're hoping for potentially more progression for him as a passer.

I think with DJ more coming in as fields new wide receiver one that should help that as well as that kind of natural progression as a passer, which we'll talk about in a little bit because we have another player.

That we'll touch on, but I think he has the chance to improve his fantasy production from last season by adding of you know some more passing yards, more completions, getting more help after the catch from his receiving core after ranking 35th in that regard last season.

So just in fields was getting almost no help after the catch from his receivers last year, which is a pretty crucial part of overall passing yards, if you look at just Patrick Mahomes last season who led the NFL in passing, he was among the top three in passing yards coming after the catch.

So getting some help there from his receiving core should actually help his is passing yard numbers and DJ more is going to be a big part of that for sure.
