0:13.0	Hi, Dr. Laura.
0:15.0	I'm calling, hoping you could help me out with the situation with my seven year old granddaughter.
0:23.0	Recently, she, we've had a lot of death in our family this last year, her grandfather, my mother, who lived with me and for nine years.
0:36.0	So all of her life that she saw recently a dog of mine, a dog of hers with her mom and dad.
0:45.0	And she's afraid now it's coming out.
0:50.0	She, it's, it's happened twice now when she's in bed.
0:56.0	She spent the night with me the other night and she was laying there and then she said, grandma, she's like, I don't want to die and I don't want you to die either.
1:08.0	And my response was you're going to live a long life and I'm going to be here a long time too.
1:15.0	And then she had another situation last night at her mom and dad's house and crying and upset because she doesn't want to die.
1:26.0	And I didn't know how to handle it with her.
1:29.0	I mean, I know based on things I've heard you say that we should tell the truth, but maybe just, you know, along her age.
1:39.0	I wondered if you could help me.
1:48.0	Hello.
1:49.0	Thank you, did a great, I think you did a great job.
1:52.0	Yeah, the only problem you have is you're expecting that you said something like that and snap it's over.
1:59.0	It'll take a while.
2:02.0	Okay, well, can I ask you this?
2:04.0	So I was on my way to my daughters so that she could listen also.
2:09.0	So last night when she wasn't home when her older daughter was putting her to bed and she wanted to call her mom because she was upset.
2:19.0	And so her mom told her she didn't know what to say to her and she told her, well, you just won't grow older.
