Am I the jerk for peeing in the cat tray?

I'm a 29 year old female and my partner is a 25 year old male.

We've been dating for three years and we have lived together for one of those years.

We live in a small one bedroom flat that has one bathroom with our two cats.

I'm a diabetic and I am on a number of medications.

One of them basically flushes sugar straight through my system,

so it can make me pee a lot.

I can go from not feeling like I need to pee,

to if I don't pee in the next 20 minutes, I will pee myself.

It comes on suddenly sometimes.

My boyfriend has IBS and he can spend 40 minutes in the bathroom, easily sometimes.

IBS if you don't know is irritable bowel syndrome.

So this hasn't been a problem thus far.

Today though, he had a bad IBS moment and after about 40 minutes locked in the bathroom,

I felt that I needed to pee.

I figured he wouldn't be very long since he'd already been there for 40 minutes.

I knocked in the door and let him know I needed to pee and asked how long he'd be.

He said he'd be a few minutes.

No problem.

20 minutes later.

So in total, he's been there an hour at this point.

I'm kind of done doing the potty dance a little and knock on the door again.
