I'm Dr. Anthony Eun, America's holistic plastic surgeon.

Well, this mini episode is going to be a bit different than

some of the other ones you may have heard. Today I'm going to talk about my journey

into integrative and functional medicine and this is something that a lot of plastic surgeons and just general physicians

don't really know a whole lot about but I think it is super important for you as a

patient and if you're a physician as well or a health care provider to definitely know about because I do think that this is the future of medicine and really should be the present of medicine as well.

So you may know that I started my career. I did a regular

you know allopathic medical school. I got my MD my doctor of medicine degree

at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine.

I then underwent a general surgery residency for three years at Michigan State in Grand

Rapids.

I did a two-year plastic surgery residency in Grand Rapids at

Michigan State as well and then I followed that up with a one-year fellowship in

aesthetic cosmetic surgery out in Beverly Hills, California.

So I've undergone a lot of schooling and I'm very proud of what I've done because I haven't

taken any shortcuts to get there and I'm a board certified plastic surgeon. I'm a member of the American Society

of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, which are the cream of the

crop of plastic surgeons, as well as several other organizations. But things have changed.

Things have changed in my thinking and I really think it's important for you to consider

this as well. So a couple years ago I started really studying functional and

integrative medicine and let me just explain what integrative medicine is.
