So, as of right right now not a lot of

news so we can just kind of get into it here the only thing that is of any note is that

jade baron was officially signed by the broncos leaving only one first round pick unsigned, and that, of course,

is the Bengals guy, Shamar. Absolute debacle that situation is. I also want to play this. We've

been talking about these second round picks. There's a little bit of additional added context

into this situation, so I want to play this for you.

Is this a revolution and is this going to change things for the future?

It could. It could. Now, in talking with folks around the league, some of it is a little bit

overblown because you could see that at the top of the second round, more and more of these deals were becoming more and more guaranteed.

Not fully guaranteed, but just as an example, last year's number 33 overall pick, the first pick of the second round, well, he had almost 96% of his contract guaranteed.

And so now you just had to go just a little bit above, right?

You're really talking about a couple hundred thousand dollars in the fourth year of a contract.

Some of these GMs may not even be around at that point. And if you actually drafted well and

correctly, you don't have to worry about this because you're probably signing that guy to a deal

anyway. And so it has been trending in this way for some time. And Nick Casario, the general manager of the Houston Texans, said, I'm not haggling over a couple hundred thousand dollars four years down the road for a guy that I hope is a franchise pillar of mine and Jaden Higgins. No, I'm just going to go ahead and guarantee it and maybe I can start my vacation a little earlier. That happened in the second pick of the second round. And so then that made the Browns, who had the first pick in the second round, Carson Swessinger, have to guarantee that. What is going to be interesting is what happens with the third pick of the second round and then, and then from then on. So you have Nick Eamon Worry, who is now with the Seattle Seahawks. he was the third pick in the second round and then, and then from then on. So you have Nick Eamon Worry, who is now with the

And then what's going to happen with the player after him, Quidstron Junkins, who, of course,

is dealing with an allegation of domestic violence that is currently being investigated
