Hey everyone, today I want to share with you my very first public debate.

So I did one engagement before this.

It was kind of a tag team debate with some college students.

I don't know where the footage for that is.

If I ever find it, I'll share it with you.

But this is my very first solo one-on-one public debate.

It took place in 2012 at the University of New Mexico, a group there called Catholic

apologetics, Catholic apologetics, fellowship, and evangelization.

Cafe is the name of the club.

They set up the debate with the local Freedom from Religion Foundation.

And the Freedom from Religion Foundation had a local representative, Jim Travis, take part

in the debate and so we were debating does God exist.

So it's a blast from the past.

I've been able to see this.

I've done over a dozen debates since then debates are one of my favorite things to do as an

apologist.

I think it's a great way to invite people who are not Catholic to look at Catholicism, Christianity,

the existence of God, and really weigh the issues for themselves.

So I've learned a lot since doing this.

It's funny going back and watching this.

There's obviously some things that I would do differently here and there.
