My fiance was to ban my son from our wedding because he doesn't want his friends to know that he's

marrying a single mom and I'm not sure what to do. I have been with my fiance for one and a half

years. He just proposed and our wedding is in four months. His family is prominent in the local

society scene. They have several businesses around and are major donors to local politicians and

churches. I have a five year old son. I married his dad but the marriage was annulled a week later.

His dad has partial custody but he lives with me most of the time. My fiance and his family

have a lot of friends that are people who are often invited around to big occasions such as weddings

and other events. They don't know that much about our lives except what my fiance tells them.

His family of course knows that I have a child. While they are nice to my son they told my fiance

that they feel uncomfortable with the fact that I have had a child so young and the fact that my

previous marriage was annulled so in their eyes it just makes me look even worse. So it first

started off with them saying that we should never mention that I ever had another wedding ever

and then that immediately turned into well why should we tell anybody that she is a single mom?

Nobody will ask probably so there's no point in giving out unnecessary information.

So far even his close friends that he goes out to lunch with or even place tennis with every week

have never met my son. I don't have my son on any social media profile nor do I bring him out

to any of our date nights in public so nobody really knows in that circle especially since we didn't

move in together until he proposed. However now the topic of my son has become a problem again

with his very devout parents. My fiance sat me down today and actually asked me if we could drop my

son off at his cousin's house 45 minutes away the day before the wedding and let him have a fun

long weekend there. I told him that I wanted my son to be a part of the wedding especially since

my soon to be nieces and nephews by marriage are going to play parts in it. My fiance said that
