As it is written, I have made you the father of many nations.

He was talking about Abraham.

He was appointed our father in the sight of God in whom he believed, who gives life to the

dead and speaks of the non-existent things that he has foretold and promised as if they already

existed.

Do you see that God does it?

God calls things that be not as if they already were.

When it's something that he knows that he wants to do in the future,

he starts talking about it now as if it was already done.
