Slow Burn Media and Bill Huffman present Who Killed, a podcast that provides a voice for the voiceless.

0:08.1

Hello and welcome to episode 128 of Who Killed. I am your host, Bill Huffman, and this is a slow burn media podcast.

0:18.1

Thank you so much for tuning in. I hope you've had a great week. And with all the

0:23.1

negativity that's been going on in the world, I wanted to change up this week's format and bring

0:28.0

something that wasn't such a downer as some episodes can be. If you've followed me on Twitter

0:34.2

over the past two years, you will have realized that I have become obsessed

0:38.7

with audiobooks. And I probably consume about three books per week. I, of course, at first,

0:45.5

devoured some of the best true crime books. Then I branched out to fiction. And that's not what I want

0:50.7

0:56.0

But again, I said this wasn't going to be a downer episode.

0:59.0

So I have mixed in a few different titles that don't require somebody getting murdered.

1:04.0

Crime was committed, but it was just not that particular crime.

1:09.0

And again, these are arranged in no particular order,

1:13.0

but I assure you that I found something great about each of these books and something I think

1:18.2

that each and every one of you will find great. If you love true crime podcasts, I so strongly

1:24.5

recommend you check out the Overdrive or Libby app where you can listen to

1:29.2

audiobooks for free as long as you have a local library card.

1:33.7

And I'm not kidding when I tell you this app has provided me thousands of hours of free

1:38.4

entertainment and knowledge.

1:40.2

Here's my short PSA.

1:42.0

Go get a library card from your local library.

1:46.3

It's free, and it's fantastic.
