Hello mammas, we are getting performative as possible today.

I have to share with you some of my favorite books of all time.

A lot of them are more recent because I feel like I forgot how to read for a good decade of my life,

and I'm doing it not performative with a matcha, but with this barley tea.

I'm taking it one step further.

I know there's the, there was this whole trend on TikTok and people making fun of dudes

who walk around with a mantra and read a book in the park.

And I found myself looking inward and realizing that that's describing me 90% of the time

because they get a match every single day.

And I also read in the park because being in my apartment sometimes feels like a dungeon

where monsters live.

But today we are sitting in the Okinawaan airport of Naha. I don't know why I say it like that, the Naha airport in Okinawa, Japan.

And we have barley tea. And we're going to sit here. And I'm going to put you on to some

recommendations for books. It'll change your life. Um, these won't be for everyone. Um, these,

these books are just what I like. Okay. I'm not saying you will like it. But if you need a book, I'd say you could give it a try. That's how recommendations work. The first one that is coming to mind. Well, I guess I'll see what I'm reading right now. I don't know if this, I don't know if I'll be able to recommend this, but's called infinite jest this book I don't know it is in paper I have in paper but I

lost it so I'm reading the e-book now but on my Apple Books app it is 3,000 pages

which is really awesome I I appreciate a challenge of a, of a piece of media.

I've seen this whole discourse about how like media should be challenging sometimes.

And then we're starting to get too accustomed to shows that I don't even know if I can like include Love Island because it's like so on.

It's like actually just like lights and sounds that make like giggle and go like...

But I've been thinking about how a lot of the media that I was watching recently has been very unchallenging and just like has been brain mush.

So the complete opposite spectrum of that is something like this book, Infinite Jest.
