early next week. Now, climate change. Some of you say, why? This is the overwhelming issue of our

times. And yet there you are trying to make sense of the crazy state of the governing party and the weird

mood of the Labour Party. Climate change. Climate change. It's overwhelming. And you're right.

And the dilemmas also are fascinating. Because every now and again, like when we had the cop

gathering in Glasgow, there appears to be a consensus, even in the UK, around its centrality.

And then the consensus begins to split. So we have at the moment the Daily Mail campaigning to extend the deadline for the end of petrol use in cars. We have Rishi Sunak seemingly

relatively indifferent to the topic. We have the Labour Party proudly proclaiming its 28 billion

pound green recovery programme and then announcing they're not going to borrow the money
